Firedoglake’s Kevin Gosztola began his busy summer schedule covering the Bradley Manning court martial two days before the trial even began. On Saturday June 1st, he attended the Manning support march at Fort Meade, MD. The next day he was at the “Manning and the Media” event in Washington, D.C., where a panel discussion featuring Daniel Ellsberg and others was followed by a Q & A session with supporters. (Keep an eye on this space for a brief look at some of week #1’s events outside the courtroom, coming later this weekend.)
On Monday, June 3rd, his work began in earnest; writing daily updates throughout the trial’s first days, keeping his followers abreast of current developments via his Twitter feed and publishing several articles for his Dissenter column on Firedoglake.
In addition to his daily reporting on the trial, Kevin also made time to talk with various media outlets. Below are two of his week #1 appearances: a June 3rd interview on RT, and a June 4th episode of the David Pakman show.
