Daniel Ellsberg and Kevin Gosztola Discuss Bradley Manning Trial on RT

It was an eventful day today at the Bradley Manning trial. Dan Choi was thrown to the ground at Fort Meade for wearing a military uniform this morning, and Daniel Ellsberg was ejected for saying hello to Manning in the courtroom (there’s no law against either). Kevin Gosztola has been covering the trial for FDL, and later he and Dan Ellsberg stopped by the Alyona Show to discuss the day’s events.

Dan Choi and Kevin Gosztola are at the Bradley Manning hearing today. Dan took this video of the two of them as they waited to get on the base. It looks like the traditional media, who previously ignored Manning, are finally showing up and paying attention.

Livestreaming: #OccupyChicago Attempts to Hold Grant Park

There were 175 people arrested last weekend in Chicago for attempting to set up tents as part of #OccupyChicago. I’ll be there reporting and streaming live from Grant Park at 7pm central time (6pm ET) as they attempt to set up a base once again.

Grant Park officially closes at 11pm, which was the excuse used by Chicago police to arrest protesters last week. #OccupyChicago organizers have indicated they intend to stand their ground once again and I will be there at 11 CT to film any arrests/standoff that may happen.

Kevin Gosztola Livestream from #OccupyPhilly

Kevin Gosztola is stopping by #OccupyPhilly this afternoon on his way to New York. Occupy Philadelphia launched last Thursday at Dilworth Plaza, and today issued a press release indicating that there are about 80 tents currently set up on the west side of City Hall. Kevin will be livestreaming his visit and interviewing the protesters.

FDL’s Kevin Gosztola, Jon Walker and Ryan Cook will be livestreaming the #OccupyDC march from Freedom Plaza to the State Department today starting at 12:50 pm. The protesters plan to join the Keystone XL pipeline protesters for the final public hearing on the matter before deciding whether to allow construction to proceed.
